Who we are

Cool App Company Ltd is a company registered in Limassol, Cyprus. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@coolappcompany.com.

This policy covers our website, coolappcompany.com, and, at a general level, our three iOS apps: GlowApp, SnapTest, and Decora. Each app may have its own more specific in-app privacy notice. Where it does, the more specific notice controls for that app.

What the website collects

coolappcompany.com is a static marketing site. It has no user accounts and no login. You can read every page without telling us anything about yourself.

The careers form: the open application on our careers page runs in your browser. Nothing you type there is sent to us or to anyone else while you type it. Your answers leave your device only as an email that you review and choose to send from your own mail app.

Server logs: like almost every website, the servers that deliver our pages may record standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request. These logs exist for security and reliability, and for nothing else.

Fonts: the site loads the Switzer typeface from the Fontshare content delivery network (api.fontshare.com). When your browser requests the font files, your IP address reaches Fontshare as a technical necessity of serving that request. We send Fontshare nothing else, and we receive no information about you from Fontshare.

Cookies and tracking: the site sets no analytics cookies and no marketing cookies, and it does not track you.

The apps

We publish three iOS apps, distributed through the Apple App Store: GlowApp (skincare), SnapTest (an AI study app that turns notes into quizzes), and Decora (interior redesign).

Our apps are designed to work without an account wherever possible. They process data to provide the features you use, not to build a profile of you.

Photos: where a feature involves a photo, for example skin analysis in GlowApp or room redesign in Decora, the photos you submit are processed to provide the feature you requested.

Study material: notes and other content you submit in SnapTest are processed to generate your quizzes.

Purchases: subscriptions are offered through Apple in-app purchase. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your payment details. We may receive your subscription status from Apple so the app can unlock what you paid for.

Legal bases under the GDPR

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): keeping the website and apps secure and reliable, which covers the server logs and the font request described above.

Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)): processing needed to deliver a feature you ask for, such as analyzing a photo you submit, generating a quiz from your notes, or managing a subscription you bought.

Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): where an app asks your permission for something specific, such as access to your camera or photo library. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected.

Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymized. Content you submit to an app to use a feature is kept no longer than needed to provide that feature, unless the app's own privacy notice says otherwise.

Where the law requires us to keep certain records, for example for accounting, we keep them for the legally required period and no longer.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only in the following situations.

Service providers: trusted service providers that help us run the website and the apps, acting on our instructions and bound by contract to protect your data.

Apple: when you buy a subscription, Apple processes the purchase under its own terms and privacy policy.

Legal requirements: we may disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

We are based in the European Union. If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards recognized under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights over your personal data.

Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Rectification: ask us to correct data that is inaccurate.

Erasure: ask us to delete your data.

Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data in certain situations.

Portability: receive the data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format.

Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

Complaint: lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or with the supervisory authority where you live.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and publish the new version on this page. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle your data, we will say so clearly.
